AI Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis from the Drawings You Already Have

Every engineer knows the ritual. A critical gap needs a stack-up, so someone opens four drawings, hunts down the contributing dimensions, re-keys them into a spreadsheet, and calculates worst-case by hand. The analysis is only as good as the transcription, and the spreadsheet starts going stale the moment any of those drawings gets a new revision.

bananaz builds the stack-up from the dimensions and GD&T already on your drawings. You select the gap, and the contributors come straight from the drawing data, with no re-keying and no transcription errors. Worst-case and RSS are computed automatically and shown side by side against the requirement, so the engineer decides with the full stack in view instead of discovering the fit at assembly.

Knowing Which Tolerance Drives the Result

A stack-up that says "it fits" is useful, but a stack-up that says which tolerance drives the result is where the money is. bananaz shows each contributor's share of the variation, so you can see that the housing bore depth accounts for a third of it while the spacer barely matters. That turns tolerancing into an evidence-based decision, where you tighten the one dimension that buys margin and open the ones that only add cost.

Stacks That Follow the Drawings

Because bananaz syncs with your PDM, the analysis does not go stale. When a contributing drawing gets a new revision, the affected stacks are re-checked, so a change to the cap lip height does not quietly break an analysis someone ran six months ago. The spreadsheet model of tolerance analysis fails exactly here, because nothing connects the spreadsheet to the drawings it was copied from, and bananaz closes that gap by never copying in the first place.

Fit issues surface while changes are cheap, every revision keeps the analysis current, and the drawings remain the single source of the data. That is tolerance analysis as a living check rather than a one-time calculation.
