PPAP

Submission-ready, from the approved design.

How it works

bananaz builds the ballooned drawing and the dimensional results form straight from the approved revision, so every characteristic is numbered, listed, and traced to the design record. Drawing completeness checks catch missing tolerances and special-characteristic marks before submission, and when the design changes, bananaz shows which characteristics are affected and regenerates the balloons and the form.

What is PPAP?

The Production Part Approval Process is how automotive suppliers prove a part is ready for series production. Defined by the AIAG and required by most IATF 16949 customers, it shows the supplier understands every requirement on the design record, and that production can meet them consistently at rate. A submission can include up to 18 elements, summarized on a signed Part Submission Warrant, and the customer then approves the part, gives interim approval, or rejects it.

outcomes: approved, interim, rejected

Required for new parts, engineering changes, new or moved tooling, new materials or subcontractors, and tooling inactive for 12 months or more.
